This tribute to Myrna Loy is organized chronologically with a few photographs, many film clips, a handful of personal appearances, and a detailed commentary delivered on camera by Kathleen Turner. Turner walks us through Loy's career as a dancer and an actress miscast as an exotic. She comes into her own as a grown-up women: shrewd, funny, decorous, and sexy - in "Manhattan Melodrama" and "The Thin Man." Her volunteer work during World War II, later stage work, and progressive politics come in for admiration as well. It's her style - seen best in her roles as a wife of charm and independence - that's captured and celebrated here.

Maggie, a professional woman dutifully paying a visit to her overbearing mother in Sydney, encounters a 14-year-old Kosovan girl on the train. Strangely propelled by the girl's isolation, she embarks on a mission to reunite her with her mother in a refugee detention centre, but gradually discovers that it is in fact the young stranger who is showing her how to reconcile with her own mother.

It is a hot, humid and sticky night. Inés, a woman in her forties, is driving through the city of Buenos Aires towards the Buenos Aires suburbs. She is on her way to spend Christmas with her brother's in-laws whom she does not know. During these hours of family siege, Inés faces the questions that open up about her life decisions, reevaluating her choices.

When his mother relapses, Oliver is forced to go look for his younger brother in the world of crime throughout the night.

MGM's all-star feature Dinner at Eight is parodied in this comic short, in which a cast of unidentified look-alike actors impersonate Lionel Barrymore, Marie Dressler, 'Jean Harlow' , et al.

The barren, concrete landscape of contemporary Reykjavik contributes the setting for the thriller, which tells the story of Stefan, whose life is slipping into turmoil. When he senses an intruder in his home, panic quickly turns to grim determination as he decides to arm himself for the inevitable confrontation.
